Summer internships for undergraduate students
Through our 10-week Fidelity Intern Program, college-level students experience our business and culture—with the opportunity to land a full-time role.
Eligibility and how to apply
If you’re a current college student who’ll return to coursework following your summer internship with us, you’re eligible to apply. We accept applications from mid-September through mid-October for internships that start the following June. Join our talent network to be notified once the application window for summer 2026 internships opens.
Types of Fidelity internships
We offer college internships in eight key skill areas, providing you with valuable opportunities across our company. Many of these internships come with a strong possibility of leading to a full-time position after graduation.
Actuary
These roles are for students studying actuarial science or quantitative finance who are analytical and enjoy problem-solving.
Corporate services support
Good for problem solvers, these roles include marketing and events, communications, and corporate services.

Yes, Fidelity’s internships and co-ops are paid positions.
Internships are paid seasonal positions that are full-time for the summer months, typically June-August. A co-op is a paid full-time position for a defined period (usually four or six months). Students typically earn course credit for co-ops.
As a Fidelity intern (aka FIDTERN), you will work on real-time business projects while learning and developing professionally. You’ll have the opportunity to participate in comprehensive intern events, networking sessions, and a robust learning curriculum that offers meaningful program experiences. Our interns are a vital source of talent, and we welcome our FIDTERNs to launch their careers at Fidelity!
Interns are assigned actual real-time projects that offer a realistic sense of the work involved in a particular area or position. Interns work with full-time associates, often in a team setting.
We offer internship opportunities in nearly every region; however, opportunities are based on business needs and change according to location and timeframe.
The majority of internships occur in the summer, beginning in May or June. By signing up for our Talent Network, you will be alerted when the intern application window opens.
